All the pictures of Anders you ever wanted to see

Mom and Baby Blue.

Hardest thing about being a baby is all the poking and prodding they have to do to you. Anders took it pretty well in stride until he figured out it was better to be wrapped up in blankets and eating.

That ain't no smurf it's really him. His umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck a couple of times and Tara really got him out of there in a hurry. So his face was blue from bruising when he came out.

Our first road trip. It was pretty short but boy was it exciting.

Some day, when his innocence is but a distant memory and he's in the throws of the teenage years, I'll have these pictures to look at and remember how sweet he was at 2 days old.

He's here!

On Friday June 16, 2006 at 3:07 in the afternoon, Tara gave birth to Anders Everett Ulbricht at Wilamette Falls Birth Center in Oregon City, OR. He weighed 7LBS 7.5OZ and was 19 and 3/4 inches long. Both momma and baby are doing well, having returned home safely on Saturday June 17th. While we're both fairly exhausted, the joy of being a daddy and mommy makes all the sleeplessness worth it.

On a seperate note, our digital camera doesn't want to cooperate with me so I've only got a few pictures of the birth for now. I'm off to the camera store to see if I can't get the rest of the pictures we took. As soon as I do I'll post them all here.

The whole show

You've seen one ultrasound picture, now behold them all! We still don't have any pictures of the booger on the outside yet so you'll have to put up with these for a little while longer.

Kiss him and maybe he'll turn into a baby

Holy crap! Having a kid means you have to acquire a lot of things. Car seat, crib, stroller, clothes, not to mention the diapers! Luckily Froggie was more than happy to be our test pilot for a good portion of it, though he hasn't gotten a diaper on... yet.

Turn baby, TURN!

Anders decided he didn't want to cooperate and put his head down where it's suppose to be. So we had to take some drastic measures to get that little bugger turned around the right way. We tried it all; from the pool to crazy couch positions. In the end the one thing that worked was acupuncture.

Here she is looking good, feeling good, getting ready for a walk.

Baby's first Picture

Introducing Anders Everett Ulbricht. This is a picture from his first ultrasound. It's kind of old now since he's days away from breathing oxygen. Stay tuned, we'll be seing him real soon without the aid of the shiny ultrasound machine.
